I think Jason’s real contribution to this topic is not necessarily his nov ideas in the theories of consciousness or theism, but rather his method: that of the application of pictures to philosophical problems. For that reason, this should be recognized as a groundbreaking work. I’m excited to see what other problems Jason can make imaginable through his cartoons
Too excited not to blague. Damasio's theory of consciousness admits of a rebirth of consciousness through reflecting in an agitated state say on lysergicdiethalimide while participating in a moment with a friend. Awesomeness.
Sorry I can't join you tomorrow. As somebody deeply interested in the non-materialist ideas about consciousness discussed by Bernardo Kastrup and Donald Hoffman, this is very interesting, although I'm not technically qualified to judge its potential merit. Nevertheless, such creative ideas can be a spark for others and collectively we might reach the truth someday, if there is such a thing metaphysically. The observation that we are "spectators of thought" rings very true to me. For anybody interested in such things, Bernardo Kastrup has a great free course on analytic idealism on the Essentia Foundation website (he also has his own website full of information):
Something fun about cards is you can rearrange them. I kind of like this essay best when I read it backwards, from frequency physics to cosmic tape feed. A "single cosmic intellect" does not necessarily equal an "omnipotent creator," though. And being a "spectator of thought" can be liberating, not just passive. Then we are NOT our thoughts any more than we are, say, whatever is being said on a podcast we're hearing, or whatever we see or overhear while waiting for a bus.
These are awesome! Philosophically, I can’t condone any of this. Artistically, I absolutely adore!

Tomorrow is today! The stream is planned for ~3 h from now, noon Eastern.
Wonderfully illustrated idea ☺️
I follow a different approach to Panpsychism and created a series about it https://leftbrainmystic.substack.com/p/deus-sive-qualia?r=4pukh2
The funny thing is, if one things of everything aka even matter as being waves in a field. My conception and this one become essentially the same 😄
I would love to exchange ideas and hear your opinion on my perspective on it!
