Some weeks ago, feeling sick¹, I went to a park with a pen, a little bottle of ink, and some paper.

I came home with two pages of notes, which I later rewrote this way:

I continued thinking about this on and off in the days that followed. A lot of my thinking these days is failing to fall asleep.
